When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. When you use our services, we collect data about your usage patterns, keyword searches, and analysis reports.

We also collect data from third-party APIs on your behalf, including:

Google Ads API: Keyword search volumes, CPC, competition data, and keyword suggestions. This data is used solely to provide keyword research and market analysis features within Keywordz. We do not use Google Ads API data for advertising purposes.
Google Search Console: If you connect your GSC account, we access your search analytics (queries, clicks, impressions, CTR, position) to provide traffic insights.
DataForSEO: Domain metrics, ranked keywords, backlink data for competitive analysis.
Serper.dev: Search engine results data for keyword difficulty and SERP analysis.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve Keywordz services
Generate keyword research reports, strategy analyses, and market intelligence
Send transactional emails (strategy reports, password resets, alerts)
Monitor and prevent abuse of our platform

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use Google Ads API data to serve advertisements or for any purpose other than providing our keyword research services to you.

3. Google Ads API Data Usage

Keywordz uses the Google Ads API to retrieve keyword metrics (search volume, cost-per-click, competition levels) and keyword suggestions. This data is:

Used exclusively to power keyword research and market analysis features within Keywordz
Cached for up to 30 days to improve performance and reduce API calls
Never shared with third parties or used for advertising
Never used to create or manage advertising campaigns on behalf of users
Accessible only to the authenticated user who initiated the request

Our use of the Google Ads API complies with the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions and Google API Services User Data Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (EU region). All connections are encrypted via SSL. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12. Authentication tokens are signed with HMAC-SHA256.

5. Data Retention

Analysis reports are retained for as long as your account is active. Cached keyword metrics are automatically deleted after 30 days. SERP data is cached for 24 hours. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your data, revoke third-party API connections (e.g., Google Search Console), and delete your account at any time. Contact us at info@keywordz.xyz for any data requests.
